Not only does this celebration generate essential funds to support ongoing programs, but it also shines a spotlight on the power of collective effort—reminding us that when we work together, we can create lasting change.

How the Battle Works

Competition Rules

  1. Groups must include 3 – 12 performers.
  2. Performance Total Time: 15 min. Time starts from the moment the group hits the stage including setup, performance and breakdown.
  3. Groups must be in costume/character looking similar to the original group / music artist, to the best of their ability.
  4. Bands and instruments are allowed.
  5. Groups must provide their own music on USB or a link to selected song. Songs must be from 70s, 80s or 90s era.
  6. Group representative must be present for event logistics meeting on March 11, 2026.
  7. Group must participate in a rehearsal prior to event date. (DATES TBA)

LipSync Battle Judging Criteria

  1. LipSync Accuracy (1–10 points)
  2. Creativity & Originality (1–10 points)
  3. Choreography & Complexity (1–10 points)
  4. Uniformity & Group Coordination (1–10 points)
  5. Costuming & Visual Presentation (1–10 points)
  6. Energy & Stage Presence (1–10 points)
  7. Similarity to Original Performance (1–10 points)
  8. Audience Engagement (1–5 points)
  9. Overall Entertainment Value (1–10 points)

Register Your Group Today!

Interested groups must register by March 27, 2026. Up to 15 groups will be selected to participate, and a $500 participation fee will be due upon acceptance into the competition.
